Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), the Indian Railways is targeting 50,000 technically skilled youth by 2024. It will train 3,500 unemployed youths from September this year, who will be upskilled at Railway training centres. The Banaras Locomotive Works is the nodal authority for Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana (Rail Skill Development Scheme).

Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2021: Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the youth is 10th standard pass and aged between 18 and 35 years. They should also be a permanent resident of India.
Candidates don’t need to pay any fee for the course.

Step 3: Then, select Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
Step 4: Candidates need to fill the application form.
Step 5: Shortlisted ones will be called by the authorities for the training.

The official website has listed Amritsar – Basic Training Centre, Mechanical Workshop; Ghaziabad – Carriage and Wagon Training Centre; and Jagadhari – Basic Training Centre, Carriage & Wagon Workshop as the three other training facilities.
