‘Safe Schools and gender fluidity’ material still being distributed despite NSW ban

NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham says unless the NSW education minister takes the government's policies on Safe Schools seriously and "enforces" them with intent, then there is "no point" in having a ban on it.

The remarks come after the student officer at the Denison College of Secondary Education in Bathurst allegedly sent out gender fluidity guides and Safe Schools material to 150 high school teachers.

"The unfortunate fact is that the [education] minister has lost control of the school system," Mr Latham said.

"Unless you're taking this seriously, there's no point having a ban on Safe Schools, there's no point having a minister unless these policies are enforced with intent."
