Kerala: Security beefed up in Palakkad following back-to-back murder of two persons belonging to different communities
Security has been beefed up in Palakkad district in Kerala, following the back-to-back murder of two persons belonging to different communities yesterday.
The District Administration has clamped prohibitory orders till the 20th of this month, following the incidents. Additional forces have been deployed and senior police officers are camping in the district to prevent the situation from worsening. The state police chief Anil Kant has warned that stern action will be taken against those who attempt to disturb communal harmony through social media. He said directions have been issued to hold cyber patrolling round the clock on all social media platforms.
