Steven Miles carried on ‘like a child’ rather than discuss vaccine rollout: Crisafulli

Queensland LNP Leader David Crisafulli said the Deputy premier carried on "like a child" talking about "Canberra politics" instead of discussing his own government's "roadmap" for the state's vaccine rollout.

“The 2IC in the state - the bloke who’s charged with state development and planning … he stands up and talks about Canberra politics and carried on like a child throwing toys out of a cot – and it needed to be called out and we called him out hard today", he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“What we’ve seen in the last month is Queensland has injected fewer vaccines on weekends than any other state.

“Instead of the Deputy Premier playing silly games and linking other matters to try and fulfill a political agenda – we’ve got to, as a state, try and hold them to account and start doing what we say we were going to do.

“We had frontline nurses interacting with COVID patients who hadn’t been vaccinated while wardsmen had – it’s an absurdity and we’ve got to call it for what it is.”
