Telangana: Dairy owners stock milk to avoid scarcity this summer

Hyderabad: During the onset of summer within the metropolis, individuals are doubtless to face milk scarcity this season.  The dairy owners have began stocking milk and milk powder so as to meet the milk demand throughout the peak summer season.

In view of the doubtless scarcity, Vijay Diary has bought 20 ton of milk powder on the charge of Rs 230 per kg to meet its prospects’ milk requirement. The diary administration can also be buying 50 thousand litres of milk every day from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Following swimsuit, different large dairies too began stockpiling milk and milk powder to cater to the demand of their prospects. 

It is alleged that the provision of the cow and buffalo milk from Telangana districts has decreased due to which the milk suppliers within the state are sourcing the milk from different states. 

According to Vijay Dairy sources, the demand for the milk throughout April/May final 12 months had elevated drastically and in consequence, milk powder was manufactured in giant portions.  Till three months in the past, the milk powder costs had been hovering between Rs.150 to Rs.200 per kg.  But these costs have began hovering now due to sudden spurt in stockpiling by the key Milk dairies throughout the state.
