BENGALURU: Trade bodies hope for some concrete measures within the state price range to empower MSMEs to bounce back with confidence after the Covid pandemic. They expect a a lot sharper concentrate on simplification of compliance and regulation, job creation and skilling of unemployed youth, and swift motion on sub-sectors of MSMEs which are below power stress, the Karnataka Small-Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) mentioned in a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who can also be the finance minister, on Monday in the course of the pre-budget conferences with trade bodies.
KASSIA urged the federal government to give the approval to arrange the Peenya Industrial Township Authority, which has been pending for almost twenty years, and develop industrial townships in small land parcels of 10 acres to accommodate micro and small enterprises which was mooted within the earlier Industrial Policy of 2014-19.
It urged the federal government to take steps to scale back the authority in particular person tax inspector’s fingers, which is the first supply of harassment of MSME entrepreneurs.
