“Truth can be different from what meets the eye:” Isha Koppikar on her new show titled ‘Suranga’

After producing popular web series like Tandoor, Assi Nabbe Poore Sau, Pratiksha and other dramas inspired by real-life incidents, ULLU has announced another gripping series titled Suranga.

Suranga is an investigative drama that unfolds a bank heist. The storyline of the show depicts a whole journey of how the heist is plotted and executed. Post the robbery, an Inspector of the city is responsible to investigate the case but to his dismay and sudden turn of events, he gets clueless about whom to hold responsible for the heist.

Isha Koppikar has been roped in to play the lead of the show and will be seen portraying the character of an Assistant Bank Manager named Dakshayini.

Talking about her role and experience, Isha Koppikar quotes, “It always feels good to be in front of the camera and the icing on the cake is a good, impactful script and Suranga has been that project. We shot in the beautiful locations of Haryana and it has been a great experience shooting with such talented co-actors and an amazing team. I play an Assistant Bank Manager, Dakshayini who is carefree, independent, and a focused woman but the truth can be different from what meets the eye.”

 Dakshayini is an independent woman who is completely dedicated to her work and wins over every customer she deals with. However, as the story progresses her true motive and identity are revealed. The show’s ensemble cast has a slew of actors like Rakesh Bedi portraying the Bank Manager, Freddy Daruwala as an honest cop, Sachin Verma, Rahul Jaitley, Sanjeev Tyagi, Ashok Kalra, Piyush Ranade amongst others.
