HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is considering scrapping the Vajra buses it had procured in 2017. The mini-bus service had been began in a bid to extend income for the company. These AC buses had been proposed to run between colony routes to locations in Andhra Pradesh like Vijayawada, giving passengers the consolation of boarding from close to their houses and never on the bus station. The service, nevertheless, failed to select up.
“The bus service used to operate from nearly 20 bus depots across the State. As the response is poor, there are plans to scrap them. A decision in this regard will be finalised in the coming month,” mentioned a senior TSRTC official on the situation of anonymity.
At current, these buses ply in only a few routes. One of the most important causes for his or her failure was their greater fare, which was greater than routine AC routes to inter-State locations. Presently, the fare has been lowered to as a lot as what a passenger would pay on a Rajadhani service.
