TTD suspends Sarva Darshan token issue at Tirupati from Monday- The New Indian Express

TIRUMALA: With the spike in Covid-19 instances, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has determined to droop the issuance of Sarva Darshan tokens at Tirupati from April 12. Sarva Darshan tokens will solely be issued until Sunday night. Chittoor is among the 5 Covid hotspot districts within the State and it’s witnessing a surge in day by day depend. TTD appoints Mukhya Archakas

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Wednesday issued recent orders appointing Archakas, who will serve the presiding deity in Sri Venkateswara temple. The Deputy Executive Officer of Tirumala temple issued the orders creating hierarchical positions such Chief Priest, Mukhya Archaka and Archaka. The TTD appointed 4 from the hereditary households — Gopinath Deekshitulu of Gollapalli household, Rajesh Deekshitulu of Paidipalli household, Ravi Chandra Deekshitulu of Peddinti household and Narayana Deekshitulu of Tirupatamma household — as Mukhya Archakas. The appointments had been made to fill the Mukhya Archaka vacancies as per GO Ms N0 855 of 1989, Deputy EO Harindranath mentioned. AV Ramana Deekshitulu would be the Chief Priest of Tirumala temple.
