New Delhi: President Donald Trump on Friday stated he is not going to attend President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on 20 January. On Friday, Trump took to Twitter and wrote, “To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.” He would be the first incumbent president since Andrew Johnson to skip his successor’s inauguration. Traditionally, the incoming and outgoing Presidents journey to the U.S. Capitol collectively for the ceremony, as a logo of the nation’s peaceable transition. Biden’s transition workforce had no rapid remark on Trump’s announcement.
