Two days Vanijya Utsav-Exporters Conclave begins in Imphal
In Manipur, a two days Vanijya Utsav-Exporters Conclave kicked off at Hotel Classic Grand De in Imphal. The inaugural function was attended by Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh and Union Minister of State for Education and External Affairs Dr. R.K. Ranjan.
The Utsav is organised by State Textiles, Commerce & Industries with collaboration of Directorate General of Foreign Trade and Federation of Indian Exports Organisation in an aim to export the products made in Manipur.
Speaking in the inaugural function, the Chief Minister Shri Biren said that the State government has been providing benefits to entrepreneurs of the State and road connectivity has been improved to facilitate exports of products. The Integrated Check Post and Land Customs Station at border town Moreh are functioning and road connectivity upto Thailand has been in advance progress.
He said that a Trade and Expo Centre has opened in Imphal where products made by our weavers and artisans are exported to the other States. The State government has taken up construction work of Cold Storage cum Food Parks in eight districts.
Different stalls are opened in the Utsave and buyer and seller meetings will be held during the export festival. The panel discussion on Exports will also be held tomorrow where eminent experts will give lectures to the young entrepreneurs.
