Two RPF personnel die after being hit by train

New Delhi, October 14

Two Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel died after being run over by a Shatabdi Express train whereas they had been on patrolling responsibility in east Delhi’s Anand Vihar railway station space, officers stated on Thursday.

The incident befell close to a drain in Anand Vihar at 12.40 am on Thursday, they stated.

The deceased had been recognized as head constable Kailash Chand Sharma (58), a resident of Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh, and constable Ranjan (28), a resident of Gaya district in Bihar, they stated.

After getting details about the accident, a police group reached the spot and located two males mendacity useless in RPF uniform, a senior police officer stated.

They had been on patrolling responsibility from 7 pm to six am in accordance with the responsibility roaster of RPF. The two had been struck by Dehradun Shatabdi Express train. Its driver Malkhan Singh stated the RPF personnel had been standing on railway monitor, on which the Shatabdi was passing, and checking a train on the opposite facet of the monitor by pointing flash gentle, the officer stated.
