Uncertainty of ‘in and out’ lockdowns could be worse for businesses

Herald Sun journalist Caleb Bond says he would be interested to hear whether the uncertainty of the “in and out” lockdowns in places like Yass is worse for businesses than the long lockdowns experienced in Sydney and Melbourne.

The Canberra Times is reporting Yass is back in lockdown only three days after being granted a reprieve by the New South Wales government.

“The in and out lockdowns, you have no way of planning,” he said.

“It’s there and then it’s not and it keeps happening again and again and again. Whereas at least in Sydney and Melbourne you know where you stand.

“You can’t do that if you’re in Yass or you can’t do that if you're in Brisbane and you keep getting plunged in and out of lockdown, particularly if you’re a restaurant or something.
