Make vegetarian mayonnaise at your home in a flash

Mayonnaise adds taste to a whole variety of foods- sandwiches, shawarma, burgers, salads and more. However, it is not often deemed healthy as regular consumption is connected to cardiovascular issues. As mayonnaise contains a high level of Omega-6 fatty acids, it will also cause blood pressure to shoot up.

Over-consumption of mayonnaise also raises the spectrum of various diseases including cardiac arrests and stroke.

But then, you have the option of preparing a tasty and healthy mayonnaise at your home. Even if no egg or any preservatives are added, it can be creamy and can be made in a flash. All vegetarians and those who look for lighter diets can give it an occasional try.

Ingredients
½ cup milk
½ cup oil
½ teaspoon mustard powder
¼ teaspoon pepper powder
½ teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon salt

Preparation
Beat the above ingredients well in a mixer
Beat it using a hand-held immersion blender for some time to thicken it
Add two teaspoons of oil and one teaspoon of vinegar while the blender continues to run
Pulse the mix for ten more times
The process can be continued in a steady stream until achieving the desired level of thickness

To make it even tastier and healthier, you may add a few more items to it
Take a blender and put three teaspoons of coriander leaves, three teaspoons of mint leaves, one-inch piece of ginger, and one chilly
Add water as required and beat well
Take two tablespoons of the mix and add it to three tablespoons of the egg-less mayonnaise
Enjoy the luscious intensity of mayonnaise with a tinge of flavour
