‘We need to reinstate our Australian values for the benefit of us all’: Jacinta Price

Alice Springs Deputy Mayor Jacinta Price says when she wants to achieve something in policy it's for the benefit of all Australians going forward – and not just those who are Indigenous.

The remarks come amid Ms Price's advocacy for "alternatives" to youth incarceration, and concerns regarding the "proposed new curriculum reforms" in education.

"There are so many issues that concern all of us and our Australian values for starters have been eroded away by this woke nonsense that we're being faced with, cancel culture all those sorts of things," she told Sky News.

"We need to reinstate our Australian values for the benefit of all of us and they're all the things I want to fight for while I'm in Canberra.

"To recognise that we're Australians, we're actually in this together we shouldn't be dividing ourselves by the colour of our skin or anything else by that matter."
