‘We’ve been open four months and had four lockdowns’: Victorian business owner

Royal Hotel Portland owner Michael Pickles says the Andrews government “can’t see the big picture” as his business suffers amid ongoing lockdowns.

“We took over the Royal Hotel on the third of May, the pub’s been there since 1850,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“We’ve been open four months and we’ve had four lockdowns.

“It’s just unbelievable the impact it’s had on our business.”
