Woman gold ‘carrier’ kidnapped from Mannar by gang, released in Palakkad

ALAPPUZHA: A gold smuggling gang  from Koduvally kidnapped a ‘carrier’ from her residence at Mannar close to right here. Bindu, 34, spouse of Binoy, ‘Kuruttikkattu’ was taken captive by the gang which broke into home round 2am on Monday. However, the abductors later set her free at Mudapalloor, Vadakkenchery in Palakkad.  Following her launch,  Bindu reported the matter to Vadakkenchery police who registered a case.

When Binoy and Bindu tried to call in the police, they forced their way inside the house after breaking  open the door.  They tied Bindu’s legs and shoved clothes into her mouth to muffle her screams before taking her away,” they mentioned.

 Mannar police mentioned Bindu, who works in a grocery store in Dubai,  had flown in on February 19. During interrogation, she confessed that she was a service of the gang. She got here with 1.5kg of gold hidden in her baggage. The gang members primarily based in Koduvally reached her home the identical day and demanded the gold. 
However, Bindu advised them that that they had referred to as on the flawed home. But the gang got here again in the early hours on Monday and barged into the home. They attacked her husband and mom and took her away,  
District police chief G Jayadev mentioned that the police  have gotten some essential leads relating to the id of the gang members. 

After she was let off at Mudapalloor round 11am, the lady took an autorickshaw  to Vadakkenchery police station.  They took her to a hospital the place she was administered first support. Later, they turned her over to Mannar police. The police have registered a case towards the gang and one other towards her for smuggling gold.
