LEGO is a popular toy brand allowing kids to create colourful toy structures such as buildings, vehicles and even space ships. Although it was originally intended for children, LEGO has also become popular among adults interested in puzzles and hobby projects. The LEGO company was founded by a Danish family in 1932. The name ‘LEGO’ is an abbreviation of the two Danish words “leg godt”, which translates in English to “play well”. The company has passed from father to son and is now owned by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, a grandchild of the founder.
